BOSS Competition line cutting directions:
The lines are approximately 80 ft in length. A longer line will be used for platform casting, however for 15' competitions the line will need to be cut considerably.
Cut line from back to within 20-30 grains of projected weight.
Test cast and trim to optimum weight with approximately 6" cuts.
If line at your desired weight is overly long, trim at front as needed. If you want to add weight after the line has been cut, it is easy to make a loop to loop connection and add any amount of weight desired.
68-72 feet and 940-1050 grains are popular on many current competition rods.
